Research Introduction and Message

   Yoshiko Naiki is Associate Professor at Osaka University, Graduate School of International Public Policy, Japan. She holds a Ph.D in public policy from Osaka University. Before coming to Osaka University, she worked as research associate at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, and deputy director at the WTO dispute settlement section in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Government of Japan. Her work focuses on domestic regulations and WTO law, in particular, regulations and standards concerning food safety and the environment. Her research interests also include a wide range of regulation and governance, such as private standards/certification systems or public-private partnerships. She has published articles on these topics in the Journal of Environmental Law, Journal of World Trade, International and Comparative Law Quarterly, and European Journal of International Law.
